Improv Camp

Improv Camp will help kids explore their creativity in a hilarious way which will build self-confidence, humor and listening skills. Improv camp is for kids ages 10 through 17. Camp director is Paul Marks, with OTC Improv.

• A $50 (non-refundable) deposit must be made to hold your child’s spot. The balance will be due for both camps June 30, 2020. Note your child’s name in the subject line, and mail checks to Fort Mill Community Playhouse, PO Box 354, Fort Mill, SC 29716. Registration and deposit must be received no later than June 30, 2020.
• Please plan to send a small snack and a bottle of water with your student each day. And please, for the safety of our students, no nuts of any kind.

Beginner Performance Camp

Learn theater skills in creating a play from start to finish.  Campers will learn how to audition, rehearse, perform and put together the set, props and costumes for a show.  There will be a short performance on stage for family and friends on the final day of camp.  Beginner Performance Camp is for rising 1st through 5th graders.  Camp co-directors are Lily Costner and Emily Krull.

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, we will be making some changes in our camps.

Finales

All camp finales, on the final day of camp, will be audience-free.  We will record each camp finale and send it to you as a link or an email so your family can have your own viewing in the comfort of your home.  

Drop-off and Pick-up

We will ask that campers be dropped-off/picked-up in the parking lot, where they will be met by a staff member, and that no one but campers enter the Playhouse.  Hand washing will be the first thing the campers will do upon entering the building.  Campers will then go to a specified area in the theater to await the start of camp.

Cleaning

We will be taking extra precautions by cleaning and sanitizing and asking our campers to wash their hands frequently.

Staff will clean and sanitize after each session of camp each day to keep our space clean and as safe as possible.

Cancellations

If we have to cancel any of our camps due to any new state requirements for community safety, or if we do not have enough participates due to the present circumstances, we will issue a full refund for the camps impacted, including your deposit.
